They also airbrushed away the two teams' names from the scoreboard. The only question is: what color belt did the Braves wear? He's got his black O's belt. Did they miss this?

Great research. On September 17, 1972 he got a single in the bottom of the second. Thurman Munson followed that by hitting into a 6-4-3 DP. It appears this shot was from that play.

Here's a link to that game log:
http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/NYA/NYA197209170.shtmlChris Stufflestreethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04229983444919282224noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1986621680116407176.post-44209115220463357812010-10-20T10:35:53.062-04:002010-10-20T10:35:53.062-04:00This looks like it would be a fun one for someone ...This looks like it would be a fun one for someone more savvy than me to figure out exactly when this play occurred. The scoreboard behind them shows that it is a scoreless game at Yankee Stadium and it appears to be earlier than the 5th inning. There can't be too many plays that fit all the criteria this photo provides.MJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01621278770959088614noreply@blogger.com
